Dating sites have invaded our lives in the recent past as blind dating became the rage in the west and even in urban metros in the more conservative eastern countries. Online dating started as an off-shoot of social networking sites. People were getting married (and divorced!) over Facebook. This gave rise to matrimonial sites that invited educated and like-minded people to chat with each other and ‘arrange’ their marriages.

Millions of ‘Zooskers’ around the world chat in the virtual world of this singles dating site everyday with the hope of finding their ‘one true love’. It’s not for nothing that the site boasts of being ‘the world’s largest social dating community’!

But what happens after you meet your virtual Zoosker in real life is another story altogether. Many people lose interest after they end up with numerous failed encounters on sites like Zoosk, SpeedDate and Badoo. Fake profiles and casual flirts abound in such sites and if you are looking for a serious relationship through such sites, you better be prepared to get your fingers burnt in the process! For those of you who have already found your partner or are married happily and want to know how to delete your Zoosk account, just follow the steps below and disappear from Zoosk for good!
Deactivate your account directly from Zoosk.com
- Select ‘settings’ from the drop-down menu
- Select ‘edit profile’ from the menu and delete all your personal information
- In the ‘account’ section, under ‘account status’, select deactivate
- Zoosk asks for a reason. Just chose a reason from the drop down menu or leave it blank
Log in to your Zoosk account and click on your Zoosk display name in the top right corner of the screen
Delete your Zoosk account from Facebook
To delete your Zoosk account from Facebook:
- Log into Facebook
- Open ‘settings’
- Go to apps
- Remove Zoosk app by clicking the ‘x’ to the right of the entry
- Ensure that you remove all Zoosk activity from your timeline by clicking on the checkbox
- Click on ‘remove’
Delete your Zoosk account by contacting customer care
To let the customer care do it for you, just select ‘contact us’ from your home page. Click ’email Zoosk customer support’ button and send a message, requesting the deletion of your account. If you don’t receive a response within a few days, call them and speak to an executive directly.
